Mara Kingscott

Equine Director

Mara Kingscott was born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She began riding horses at the age of six and rode competitively through college. She attended the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Molecular Biology with a minor in Anthropology. While in college she competed for the College on their English IHSA team and served as captain for two years. After graduating she moved out to Jackson to work as a wrangler on a guest ranch. She has since settled in Victor, Idaho with her two horses, three legged dog, and orange cat. Before joining JHTR, Mara worked as a paraprofessional at C-V Ranch where she found a passion for working with individuals with disabilities. She is so happy to be able to bring her two passions together working at JHTR. In her free time, Mara enjoys riding and training horses, skijor, team roping, and long hours in the mountains with her dog Clyde.
