Susan Conner

Director

Susan, a native of Auburn, Alabama, first fell in love with the Tetons on a family vacation when she was thirteen years old. She retuned to the area almost every summer for 25 years before making Teton Valley, Idaho, her permanent home in 2015. She began volunteering at Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding in 2016 and joined the Board of Directors in 2024.

Susan spent 25 years in the classroom as a secondary English, History, and Special Education Teacher and is now a real estate professional in Teton Valley along with her husband, Harry. She holds a BA in History from Auburn University and an MA from the University of Alabama. Her love of teaching and horses initially drew her to Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding, but it is the staff, the volunteers, the horses, and, most of all, the incredible participants that have stolen her heart.

Susan adores everything about living in the shadow of the Tetons, especially fly-fishing, hiking, biking and camping in summer, and skiing in winter. She has three grown daughters, Maggie, Liz, and Conner, who live and work in the area, as well as two beautiful granddaughters, Cricket and Pen. Susan is honored to contribute in any way to the enriching, empowering, and impactful programs offered at Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding.
